BARBICAN

This design is a tribute to the brutalist* aesthetics of the Barbican Centre London.

THE BACK

ABOUT

Coming from a family of architects I was always fascinated by architectural design, particularly brutalism, socialist modernism and art deco.

Completing this project was exciting as I could combine my passion for buildings, architectural knowledge and merchandise creation into one.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The target audience is young architects and fans of brutalist architecture, hence why the style choice, which evokes a little bit of Y2K while incorporating science-fiction and architectural elements.

THE GOAL

THE GOAL

The goal here was to create a streetwear item by blending architectural design with everyday fashion.

THE FRONT

For the front design, I created a vector illustration that draws inspiration from the Barbican's iconic features.

The upper part of the design mimics the vents, while the lower part resembles the concrete pillars and the inner lake
